- "Why are you doing this!? What could you possibly need our world for? You can see it is primitive; our weapons don't even hurt you!"

Zoa is a character in Starbarians. She is introduced in "The Incredibly Strange Creatures That Stopped Living and Became Mixed up with the Starbarians (part I)" as a mother and one of many natives of a planet which is forcibly seized by the Eternoids.
Development[]
On 19 August 2012, Harry Partridge tweeted a sketch of her.[2][3] However, after his girlfriend pointed out its similarity to the Zora species from the The Legend of Zelda franchise,[4] Partridge decided he would take her back to the drawing board to be redesigned.[5]
She ultimately appeared a little over a year later, in 19 September 2013's "The Incredibly Strange Creatures That Stopped Living and Became Mixed up with the Starbarians (part I)" as a native of the primitive planet.
Zoa returned in part II, with Partridge apologizing to Marianne Miller (Zoa's voice actress) on Twitter, stating "[the episode] didn't showcase all of your dialogue but we'll get to it next ep!".[6]

Zoa is one of the many natives that have their homeworld claimed by the hostile Eternoids. In the beginning of the episode, she hugs her young son before the spaceship arrives and it almost crushes the two when it lands. When the Eternoids brutally kill two of the natives who attempt to defend themselves, Zoa asks the Eternoid leader why they are attacking them; the Eternoid leader gives only a vague reply.
